When working on computer systems, it can be all to easy to get bogged down with all of the different tasks that need to be carried out. Fortunately there’s a simple solution to get out of this rut, and that’s to slow down.
Slowing down simply means tackling jobs at a different pace. This might mean that jobs are carried out in a different order, or that tasks are set out and planned differently. Initially this may be a headache, but the extra breathing space that is created from this pacing will give you time to think and tackle things more effectively.
If possible try to do things in a relaxed way, without rushing and attempting to get things done as quickly as possible. It will help set the tone of the work you do and give jobs the opportunity to be enjoyable processes to work through.
